Two good articles on time management from FORTUNE.

11 March 2006

Both of these are by Ellen McGirt, and the opening few paragraphs of each are identical.  But each has its own merits.

The short version:  “5 rules to make your work day sane”

The long version:  “Getting out from under”

One key insight from these:  Block out time–McGirt suggests the first hour of the day–for uninterrupted thinking about your work.  No e-mail, no telephones, no interruptions.  Sounds good to me.
